Raymond C. Griffen III

Raymond C. Griffen III, age 75, of Grandville, born November 6, 1947, passed away at home on Monday, February 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Griffen; parents, Ray and Rose Griffen; brother, Ken Griffen; and parents-in-law, August and Ann VanderWall. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Renee VanderWall Griffen; stepson, Rob and Maria VanderHart; step-grandchildren, Marqus VanderHart, Monique, Christina, and Junior; brothers, Ed and Sue Griffen, John and Helen Griffen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred and Kathy VanderWall, Rick and Jonell VanderWall; aunt, Bonnie Griffen; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, February 15, from 5-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A committal service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will take place at Blain Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sunset Legacy Foundation or Guiding Light.
