
Priscilla Elizabeth (Goodrich) Zeider, age 96, of Grandville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael A. Zeider; parents, LD and Mary Goodrich; sisters, Barbara, Ruth, and Patricia. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, David and Sue Zeider, Rosemary and John Robak, Lorraine and Patrick Hickam, Charlotte and Randy Kraus, and Annette and Mike Zeiderman; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Toral Zeider; grandchildren, Mark and Tatsumi Zeider, Sebastian and Hiromi Zeider, Phaedra Zeider, John Christopher Robak, Jennifer and Rob Grierson, and Shannon and Rick Phillips; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Brian, Madelyn, Ryan, Erin, Shaw, and Jack; sisters, Carol and Russ Timmer, Mary Helen Potchen, Joy Klomp; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Priscilla proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during WWII. She graduated from Aquinas College where she received a degree in microbiology and went on to work for the State of Michigan until retirement. After retirement, she joined the Peace Corps where she served in Africa for three years. Priscilla was a lifelong and very active member of Grandville United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Grandville United Methodist Church, 3140 Wilson Ave SW, with Rev. Ryan Wieland officiating. Inurnment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Christian Rest Home and Edison Assisted Living for their compassionate care. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Red Cross in honor of Priscilla’s disaster volunteer service or to the Grandville United Methodist Church.
