Priscilla “Pat” Ann (Dekkers) Huizing, age 90, of Jenison passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 and is now home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born to Henry and Ann Dekkers on April 15, 1927, where she grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Annette Kladder, Connie Roersma, and Bernice Velzen. Pat was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family. She was a floral designer at Eastern Floral for many years until she retired. Following retirement, she and husband, Will, enjoyed many winters together in Florida. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 70 years, Wilbur; children, Bonnie (Bob) DeYoung, Sally (Gene) Isenga, Tom (Loretta) Huizing, Patricia “Patty” (Jack) Klapmust; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Louis Huizing, Frank Rosekopf; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress, Jenison, with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and also from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at church.
