Phyllis Lind

Phyllis Jane Lind, age 93, of Wyoming, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was dedicated to the Godwin School community and athletic department and was a “mom” for many police officers at the Wyoming Police Department. Phyl was an avid sports fan of the Tigers, Spartans, and Pistons. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lind Sr.; daughter, Jane Lind; and son-in-law, Rick Haik. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, John and Karen Lind, Marsha and Doug Ybema, Cheryl Haik, Dan and Shari Lind; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Velthouse; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Don VanSlyke officiating. The burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 20, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
