Peggy Birdsley

Peggy Anne Birdsley, age 73, of Hudsonville, passed into the arms of her faithful Savior on Sunday, November 9, 2025. She was born on February 15, 1952, to Melvin and Joan Kooiker. She married Arthur Birdsley on August 3, 1973, and they shared 52 years together. Peggy devoted 40 years of service to Pine Rest, where she was a dedicated and valued member of the team. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughters, Jill (Travis) Timmer, Julie (Mike) Obbink; grandchildren, Jaden (Lauren) Timmer, Aiva Timmer, Brynne (Tyler) Bayle, Jaxson Obbink; brother, Melvin Jr. (Mary) Kooiker; sister, Sally (Richard) Johnson; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cherished friends. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the nurses of Tandem 365, caregiver Amanda Lyon, and Faith Hospice for the exceptional care given to Peggy. A memorial service to honor Peggy will be held on Saturday, November 15, at 11 a.m. at MKD Funeral Home (Jamestown) 2371 Riley St., Hudsonville, with Rev. Scott Van Oostendorp officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
