Pearl Valentine

Pearl Valentine, age 87, of Grandville, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her grandson, Erik; and her brother Kenneth Kooiman.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia and Ronald Merchant, Karen and Richard St. Denis; 7 grandchildren; 4 great granddaughters; sisters, Mary Vodry, Joyce Barnes.  Pearl was a very independent and adventurous woman who loved to take trips and especially loved her family. She had a huge heart and was always willing to help others. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Mel Trotter Ministries or the Grandville Senior Center.
