Paul Zylema

Paul Zylema, age 65, of Allegan, has gone to join his father and his brother and other family members on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, John Zylema; brother, Eric Zylema; god-mother, Margaret Olson. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his mother and step-father, Rose and Bob Schenck; brothers, John and Nancy Zylema, Mark and Mary Zylema, Rock and Barb Zylema; nieces, Marian Jean Haberman, Marissa Zylema, Molly Zylema; great-nieces and great-nephews, Joselyn Haberman, Konnor Haberman, Vincent Haberman, Zoe DeGood, Paisley DeGood, Markiha Banbur; step-sister, Chrissy (Bob) Henning; step-nieces, Hailey, Kaitlin, Taylor. Paul retired from Steelcase after many years of faithful service. He was a big Rolling Stones fan but an even bigger fan of the University of Michigan. He enjoyed following the Lions and Tigers too or fishing or golfing. In his younger years, he and his brother, Rock, enjoyed bowling and they both took the State title one year. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, June 22 from 4-6pm at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 Division Ave, Wyoming, with a Rosary at 3:30pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.  Paul was a casual dresser so feel free to dress casually.
