Paul Lieffers

Paul H. Lieffers, age 98, of Eastmanville, was called home to glory surrounded by his family on Monday, September 9, 2024. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sheryl and Dan Groothuis, Gary Lieffers, Tim and Carla Lieffers, Brenda and Randy Borst; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; siblings, Cal Lieffers and Grace Ritzema. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Bernice; and son-in-law, Richard Hyma. Paul loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and raising pigeons and rabbits. He also had a passion for singing. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, at 11 a.m. at Eastmanville United Reformed Church, 6845 Leonard St. Coopersville with Pastor Jeph Nobel officiating. The burial will take place at Coopersville-Polkton Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday, September 13, from 6-8 p.m. at the church and Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. The family would like to say a special thank you to all of Paul’s caregivers. He loved them all. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Eastmanville United Reformed Church.
