
Patrick J. Horning, age 72, of Wyoming, was taken to his heavenly home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Georgiana Horning; brother, Timothy; father-in-law, Daniel Miller; and brother-in-law, Mark Miller. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Karen; children: Holly (Brandt) Coppock, Shannon (Bill) Hatch, Melissa (Mike McCullough) Horning; grandchildren: Lydia, Nora, and Alyssa Coppock, Delanie, and Jackson Hatch, Lauren, Katie, Andrew, and Maddie McCullough; brother, Michael (Susan) Horning; sister-in-law, Joy Horning; brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel (Janet) Miller, Barbara (Tim) Anderson, Michael (Laurie) Miller, and Sally (Chris) Augdahl; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Patrick was a warm, loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. He was an active, supportive member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. He was proud to have been “one of the few good men” who valiantly served as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a steadfast employee of Herman Miller for over 20 years. Pat loved his family and seldom missed his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was an avid reader and die-hard Notre Dame fan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Burial at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5 - 8 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or St. John Vianney Parish.
