Patricia Proper

Patricia Proper, age 85, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bonnie (John DeRooy) DeRooy, Sherrie (Bob) Wiersma, Dale Proper, and Scott (Margie) Proper; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren; brother, Henry (Judy) Faber; several nieces and nephews; and companion,  Don Yost. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Proper; grandson, Jason Proper; siblings, Richard Faber, Loretta Biggler, Barbara Dickenson, and Debra Faber. She enjoyed traveling, camping, going to the casino, organizing family outings and birthdays; but most of all she loved her family and spending time with family. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, January 18, at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Burial will be held at Fairplains Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the start of the service from 1-2pm.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
