Patricia Mohn, age 79, of Alto, went to be with her Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Patricia was originally from Manistee and she worked as an authorized cashier for Meijer for 21 years. Patricia had a love for all things cooking and baking. She graduated from Grand Rapids Community College with degrees in culinary arts and food and beverages. Her delicious cakes that she would bake earned her the nickname “pattycakes.” Patricia will be remembered for her heart of gold and fun-loving nature. She loved to go to social gatherings and she often had others on her mind, so often that her husband, Robert, lovingly called her “the card lady,” for all of the cards that she would send to people to encourage and lift them up. Above all, Patricia loved and cherished her dear family. She enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing with Robert, and she was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Mohn; and her brothers, Robert Lipski and William Lipski. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Robert; children, Michelle (Tim) McClary, Shayne (Pauline) Mohn; grandchildren, Austin (Cylee) McClary, Bryce McClary, Cameron McClary, Daryl Mohn, Alexis Benedict, Steven Mohn; great grandchildren, Damon McClary, Stefan McClary; two great granddaughters on the way; her brother and sister, Raymond (Phyllis) Lipski, Mary Anne David; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, April 2 at Holy Family Church, 9669 Kraft Ave. SE, Caledonia. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church. A Rosary will be held Monday at 7:45 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Leukemia Research Foundation.
