Patricia Laverne Higley

Patricia “Patti” Laverne Higley, age 67, of Caledonia passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus, on Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ruth Hayes; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Lois Higley; siblings, Allen Hayes, Candie Hayes, Danny Hayes, Bruce Hayes. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Thomas Higley; children, Gene and Heather Cross, Chad and Leanne Cross, Eric Cross; grandchildren, Haden Horvath (Jocelyn Dawson), Hannah Horvath (Liam Morgan), Ashley (Kyle) Carpenter, Taylor Cross, JT Schwartz, Mason Cross, Brianna Cross, Landen Cross, Makenna Cross; her dogs, Gizmo and Peanut; extended family and friends. She was passionate about her family, spending time enjoying watching her grandchildren swim at her pool and attending their sporting events. She was a giving person, doing more for others than herself. Patti loved the holidays and planning parties. She loved baking and cooking, enjoyed morel mushroom hunting, puzzles, and spending time with grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 12 at 10am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial at Lakeside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, November 11 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Caledonia Fire Department.
