Patricia Kaley

November 30, 2020

Patricia Ann Kaley, age 79, of Wyoming, was taken to her heavenly home on Monday, November 30, 2020. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Frances Hurbanis, sister-in-law, Patricia Chukinas, and niece Sheri Everson. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 59 years, Ron, Sr.; son, Ronald James (Sian) Kaley; grandsons, Macklin (Danielle) and Chandler Kaley; great grandchildren, Parker and Reece Kaley; brothers, Emil (Sharon) and George Hurbanis; sister, Janet (Richard) Macigewski; brothers-in-law, Eugene (Robin) Kaley, and Bob Chukinas; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Pat was a devoted, warm, loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked to support her husband Ron as he completed his studies at WMU in the early years of their marriage and continued her support as his career required various moves in Michigan, Illinois, and New York. Pat’s boys (husband, son, grandsons) were the apple of her eye and in her own words “perfect.” Nothing was too good for Pat’s boys. She was a business woman in her own right by becoming part owner in a successful craft store, The Daisy Chain, and eventually becoming a successful real estate agent in the West Michigan area for over 25 years. Pat loved to entertain and thoroughly enjoyed organizing and hosting family parties for holidays and celebrations. She was happiest feeding a house full of family, and no one left her house hungry or without a plate of food. Pat and Ron have many treasured memories of travels to Hawaii, Florida, Palm Springs and Las Vegas they have shared with parents, siblings, their son Ron and beloved grandsons. They counted themselves fortunate to be able to travel and share vacation time with family. Pat was a long time member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church with special ties to Fr. Richard Lawie and Fr. Raymond Barth, formerly of Bridgeman, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming. Friends and relatives may meet the family on Friday from 5 to 8 pm, with a rosary at 7:30 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, as well as one hour prior to Mass at church. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. John Vianney Church or Emmanuel Hospice.
