Patricia Jeanne Guilfoyle

Patricia Jeanne Guilfoyle, age 76 of Kentwood, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frank Guilfoyle III; parents Emma and Tom Roddy; two brothers Tom and Bob Roddy. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Sandra Guilfoyle (Jane Sult), Lisa (Steve) Luczak, Frank (Trista) Guilfoyle IV; grandchildren, Nick, Lindsey, Frank V (Tommy), Ryan; sister, Mary (David) Krempels; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; one nephew, many nieces, cousins, and dear friends. Pat was a faith-filled, devoted, Godly woman who raised her children to be faithful Catholics. Pat loved her family and would put them above herself to make sure they were well cared for. She liked to travel all over the U.S., including trips back to New England to see family, Mexico, and Europe and planned an annual trip to Northern Michigan with her best friend, Donna.  She and Frank were both born in Boston and moved to Flushing, MI for employment with the Buick Motor Division and St. Joseph Hospital. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 4 - 7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood with a vigil service at 6:30 pm, and one hour prior to Mass on Monday.   Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. John Vianney Educational Foundation or Emmanuel Hospice Foundation.
