Patricia Carol Haizman

Patricia Carol Haizman of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan, on May 24, 1946, to parents, Walter and Margaret Kernicki.

After graduating from Catholic Central High School, Pat married Lawrence Haizman in 1968 and they shared over 57 years together. She worked outside the home, raised two children, and gave back to her community through volunteering. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; her children, Christopher (Stacy) and Laura; her 4 grandchildren (Kaitlyn, Adam, Mya, and Levi); and two brothers, Philip (Rita) and Michael (Teri). 

A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood) 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE. Relatives and friends may meet the family prior to the memorial service from 11 am - 12 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish to honor her life may make memorial contributions to the Michael J. Fox Foundation  or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
