
Patricia Ann Arends, age 82, of Wyoming, went to her heavenly home peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Lifelong member of Holy Name of Jesus Church. She retired after over 30 years from Keebler, working with many family members in her career. She was a devoted caregiver for her husband for many years. She also enjoyed camping, baking her famous poppyseed bread, watching the Hallmark channel, and her many dogs. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was so blessed to live independently until the very end.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie; granddaughter, Jordan Bishop; and siblings: Mary Catherine, Rose Marie. Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her children: Joanne and David Myers, Lisa and Jeff Jennings, Kim and Jim Hamming; grandchildren; Kacie, Justin (Kristen), Kari (Derek), Madison, Carson (Shekinah); 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Agnes (Jim) Whitheral, Jim (Coleen) Nessner, Edward Nessner, Donna (Joe) VanDellen, Marilyn (Gary) Lipscomb; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tom (Barb) Arends, Sue (John) Nelson; many nieces and nephews; and longtime friends, Kathleen and Carolyn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1048 Chicago Dr., Wyoming with Rev. Charlie Brown presiding. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday from 3-6 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville, with a rosary held at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to her beloved church, Holy Name of Jesus.
