Patricia Ann Walcott

Patricia Ann Walcott, nee Simons, age 91, went joyously with her Lord and Savior to her Heavenly home on Saturday, January 27, 2018 to reunite with her best friend and much beloved husband of 61 years, Lester Allen Walcott. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Laura Simons of Grand Rapids, beloved brother, Kenneth and Betty Simons of Dorr, and her grandson, Daniel Lester Warren. She leaves behind her beloved and generous children, Bruce and Judy Walcott of Allendale, Thomas and Dona Walcott of Walker, Jane and Ron Thomas of Hudsonville; her treasured sister, Geraldine Rodarmer of Spring Lake. She was so proud of her grandsons, Mitchell Walcott of Albuquerque, NM, and Timothy Warren of Wyoming, along with many nieces and nephews. Pat was a charter member of Wesley Park United Methodist Church, where she met and made many friends. She was a lover of home and family first, books and libraries, Saugatuck and Lake Michigan, and her many women friends of her church’s Caring Group, of which she was a member for over 30 years. She was also a secretary at her church for 16 years.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Wesley Park United Methodist Church, 1150 32nd St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Dean Prentiss officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice or Wyoming Public Library.
