Patrecia Nyenhuis

On Sunday, August 24, 2025, Patrecia Louise Huver Nyenhuis passed away at the age of 90.

Pat was born on April 9, 1935 in Lansing, MI, to John and Vera Huver. She graduated from Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School in 1953 and worked at Michigan Bell Telephone Company. She married Marve Nyenhuis on August 18, 1958 and they had three children. She was a stay-at-home mom, then retired from Metro Graphic Arts after 30 years. She enjoyed pastimes such as knitting, sewing, puzzles, and bowling, and loved nothing more than having her grandchildren over to play cards and board games.

Pat is survived by her husband of 67 years, Marve; her son Kevin (Carlene) and daughters Karen (Bruce) Ellens and Kathy (Scott) Wolford; her grandchildren Chris (Erin), Brett (Lily), Tanner (Courtney), Drake (Jenna), Torey, Toni, and Brandon; and great-grandchildren Blake, Allie, and Emersyn; her sister Dee Bridgeman and brother Ed Huver; her in-laws Dick Sandborn, Margo Huver, Bob (Bev) Nyenhuis, Ken (Marge) Nyenhuis, Mary Burns, Joyce (Kelly) Wright, Les (Deb) Nyenhuis, Shirley (Dave) Joling; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vera Huver; her sisters, Marcia Sandborn and Joan (Mike) Stearman; and her brothers, John (Rose) Huver and Butch Huver; her in-laws, Pete (Laura) Nyenhuis, Norm (Barb) Nyenhuis, Jim Burns, Jim Bridgeman, and Rita Huver.    

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, at Holy Redeemer Parish, 2700 Baldwin St, Jenison, MI 49428. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow the service.                        

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Faith Hospice in Pat’s honor.
