Parker Duncan

November 21, 2025

Parker Michael Duncan, age 21, of Shelbyville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 21, 2025, and is now home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Parker was a kind and loving son, grandson, brother, and nephew who had a huge heart and a gift for making everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger—no matter someone’s background, he connected with people easily and genuinely. He was a 2021 graduate of Mattawan High School where he enjoyed playing football. Following graduation, he went on to further his passion for automotive work at the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, North Carolina, where he earned a degree in auto mechanic repair. Parker worked for his uncle Jason as a  Master Mechanic and received his certification at an impressively young age. Parker loved Notre Dame football and had a lifelong enthusiasm for auto racing, cherishing countless memories made with his family at the annual trip to Eldora Speedway. Parker also had a love of his country, always supporting anything American and the red, white, and blue. Away from work, he found peace and time with Jesus on the river, spending time fly fishing and enjoying the quiet moments surrounded by nature. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Brinks, and grandmother, Shirley Bluman. Parker will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jessica Brinks and Don Bluman; siblings, Drake, Deaken, and Dempsy Bluman; grandmother, Sandy Brinks; uncle, Jason Brinks; aunt Patricia Bluman; loving extended family members and dear friends. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at MKD Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Kevin Pike officiating. A time of continued fellowship with Parker’s family and a light luncheon will immediately follow the service at the MKD Reception and Event Center.
