Pamela Joy Hatkowski

Pamela Joy Hatkowski (Bouwens), age 65, of Chippewa Lake, formerly of Wyoming, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Rick; children, Jason and Melissa Hatkowski, Mike and Renee Hatkowski, Cari Hatkowski and Brian Krask; her 9 grandchildren, Morgan, Gabe, Lexi, Carson, Gehrig, Kamrynn, William, Breslin, and Ben; siblings, Randy and Pearl Bouwens, Gary and Ellen Bouwens, Bob and Sheri Bouwens, Nancy and Jerry Edgerle, Pat Danenberg; several nieces, nephews, many extended family; and her sweet kitty, Gracey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rynard and Bernadine Bouwens. Pam was the start of a love life of fifty years and a model of what a Christian marriage looks like. She was an avid gardener, baker, sewer, quilter and loved making special gifts for her grandchildren. Pam thoroughly enjoyed decorating and hosting her family for the holidays. Pam loved her Chippewa Lake life floating in the water and jumping off the pontoon boat. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave., SE, Kentwood. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday from 9:30 - 11 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choosing.
