Pam Swanson

  Pam Swanson, age 62, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Swanson. Pam will be greatly missed by her sisters, Linda (Andy) Grant Jr., Ruth Swanson, Pat (Scott Ytsma) Swanson; niece, Melanie (Eric) Cook; nephews, J.T. (Roxanne) Saladin, Josh (Julie) Saladin, Justin (Samantha) Saladin. Pam was a teacher at Head Start and loved teaching children how to read. She was also a writer for various magazines and articles. A celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Friday, December 11, 2:00 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW, with Pastor Matt Yonker officiating. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Humane Society of West Michigan.
