Oakley June Kenyon, of Detroit, our precious little angel, was called home into the arms of Jesus on Friday, October 30, 2026. Oakley was born at just 26 weeks and entered the world weighing only 1 pound, 3 ounces. From the very beginning, she was a fighter.
There were so many things that made Oakley uniquely beautiful. From her curly strawberry-blonde hair, tiny nose, beautiful smile, playful sass, and adorable dimples to the way she wiggled around, rested her little pointer toe over her big toe, and looked at the world with her sweet, wide eyes. Even her precious little neck rolls were part of what made her so special. Every little detail, every expression, and every mannerism made her absolutely perfect, and she was beautiful in every way.
Oakley loved listening to Mom and Dad's voices, listening to music, and being read books. She was truly adorable and took after her mom in so many ways. She was a Gemini, and her big personality certainly showed it!
Oakley shared her birthday with her cousin and great-grandpa. She also held a very special place in the family as the first great-great-grandchild on the Mourer side. Her beautiful strawberry-blonde hair often became a topic of conversation during hospital visits, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of seeing her.
Though her time here was far too short, Oakley filled the hearts of those around her with immeasurable love. Every little detail, every tiny feature, and every precious moment will forever be treasured. She was a true gem, and her family will cherish her memory always. She will be dearly loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Oakley will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Robert Kenyon and Hailey Rowlison; grandparents, Sara and Bradley Skipp and Natalie Abramson; great-grandparents, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Though her footprints on this earth were tiny, the imprint she left on the hearts of her family will last forever. Until we meet again, sweet Oakley. You will always be our little angel.
