Norman Caskey

Norman Duane Caskey, aged 70, of Caledonia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2020, surrounded by his family.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Betty; sons: Dennis and Michelle Caskey, Dar and Carrie Caskey, Daren and Katie Caskey; grandchildren: Ben, Sam, Carissa, Ella, Donny, Nolan, Josie; sisters: Audrey and Bob VanderLaan, Sharon and Randy Grinage; parents-in-law, Keith and Jean Bergy; brother-in-law, Bob and Cheryl Bergy; many nieces and nephews.  Norm began his career as a carpenter and later retired from Crystal Flash after starting and running the Caledonia Oil Co. with his family for 18 years.  Norm loved woodworking, sports, camping, boating and collecting trains.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.   According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020, at Ada Bible Church (Kentwood Campus) 2045 68th St., with Pastor Dan Wright officiating.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Dutton Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ada Bible Church, where the childrens ministry meant so much to Norman.
