Norm R.  Tompkins

Tompkins, Norm R. Norm R. Tompkins, age 80, of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.  He will be dearly missed his wife of 58 years, Dorothy “Dottie”; their children, Greg and Marijo Tompkins, Cathy Tompkins; grandchildren, Matthew Tompkins, Rachel and Cody Rose, David Tompkins, Daniel Tompkins; brother, Farrell Tompkins; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  Norm proudly served our country in the Army’s 3rd infantry from 1956 to 1958 and served in the honor guard at Arlington National Cemetery.  Along with his love of family and friends, Norm enjoyed sports.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. with Rev. John Delger officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
