Nicole Marie "Nikki" Price (nee Kwekel), age 24, of Grandville, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 20, 2019. She graduated from Caledonia High School in 2013, and attended Ferris State University and Grand Rapids Community College. She was preceded in death by her adoptive father, Steven Kwekel; her treasured nephew, Dakota; cousin, Ellie Price; and grandfather, Arie Kwekel. Nikki was a wonderful, adoring mom who loved spending time with her son, playing chase, laughing, snuggling and exploring in the woods. She was the definition of a “fun mom”, as evidenced by the abundant joy that she and Quincy shared. She loved the outdoors: camping, hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, and climbing sand dunes. Her huge heart was evidenced by her willingness to take in family members who needed a home and love, and to make others’ lives better. She was very artistic and loved drawing and painting. She was a dedicated “fur mom” to her three spaniels, with whom she spent much of her time walking or running with or taking them to the dog park. She enjoyed just playing catch with the dogs in the yard, too. She also enjoyed, and was gifted at, home decorating and working in the yard. She was very inquisitive and was always looking to improve herself. Her smile, laughter and loving way will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Joshua Price; and her beloved son, Quincy. She will be lovingly remembered by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Laura Price; her adoptive mother, Karla Baker; and her biological parents, Alan and Carolyn Baker. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Sheila and Alexis Lepley, Savannah Baker, Brianna Kwekel, Kelly (Kevin) Buist, Jace (Curt) Coffield; and her brothers, Ryan (Jenny) McDonald, Shawn (Katie) Kwekel, Clifford Smith; her niece (who was more like a sister), Jasmine Kwekel; along with nieces and nephews, Kyle, Gerritt, Owen, Olivia, Haylee, Margaret, Reid, Bentley; grandmothers, Rosa (Joe) Venturini and Judy Kwekel. She is also lovingly remembered by the entire Price family, including her brothers-in-law, Connor (Savannah Temple) and Logan; her grandparents, Jim and Joanne Johnson, Bill and Marlene Adams, and Reece and Jill Price; her aunts and uncles, Lisa (Gary) Simms, Erik (Lisa) Johnson, David (Jodi) Price, Bill (Kelly) Price, and Tracy (Michael) McCullough; cousins, Ashley (Katie) Simms, Haley (Allen) Johnson, Claire and Cam Johnson, Matthew and Andrew Price, Gabe and Collin McCullough; special cousin, Jessie Price and cherished nephew, Easton. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 1675 - 84th St. SE, Caledonia, Michigan, with Rev. Greg Wood officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Cornerstone Church.
