Nelson Rotman

Nelson Eugene Rotman, age 92, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Nelson was the owner-operator of Service Metal Company. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn; son, Jack Rotman; and stepdaughter, Valorae Gemmen. He will be lovingly remembered by his family whom he cherished; his wife of 27 years, Kay; children, Bonnie and Ade DeBoode, Judy and Roger Haan, Donna and Ron Alofs, Beth and Ken Brinks, Karen and Dave Deters; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Vonda and Dave Van Beek, Vicki and Brad Miller; 13 step grandchildren; 33 step great-grandchildren; brother, Hank and Cathy Rotman; sisters, Eleanor Sall, Maxine and Jerry Stratton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Warren Haan, Carol Haan, Jan and Fred Billin, Cheryl and Donley DeGroot, Marcia and Fred Hulst; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, at 11 a.m. at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Don VanSlyke officiating. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 26, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Finding Freedom Ranch or Baldwin St. CRC.
