Nelson Morren

Pastor Nelson J. Morren, age 81, of Allendale, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Nelson had a passionate desire for spreading the word of Jesus and letting his light shine through him by helping others He was preceded in death by his son, John Nelson Morren; grandson, Matthew David Morren; and brother, Andy Morren. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Sharon; children, David (Sandee) Morren, Daniel (Sandy) Morren, Jeff (Brenda) Morren, Julie Cornelius, Joe (Tracey) Morren, Sarah (Joel) Overweg, Tom Morren; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marian Lonning; brothers, George Morren, Gary (Joyce) Morren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 6651 Scott St., Allendale, with Pastor Bob Lonning and Pastor John Wildeboer officiating. A light luncheon will follow the funeral service. After the luncheon, a graveside service will be held at the Beaverdam Cemetery for immediate family only. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, November 12, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or in memory of Nelson’s heart for people, we ask that you visit with someone in need of human interaction with love and compassion.
