Nelson Bredeweg

Nelson Bredeweg, age 78, of Forest Grove, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2022. He was a dairy farmer and later retired from General Motors after over 33 years. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, and being outdoors. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Ruth; children: Mike and Robyn Bredeweg, Dan and Carol Bredeweg, Joe and Tara Bredeweg; grandchildren: Zack (Allyse), Max, Rachel, Sarah, Nolan, Jace; great-grandson, Deklan; brothers and sister: Robert Bredeweg, Joyce and Gary Verseput, Kenneth and Sandy Bredeweg; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Barbara. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Nelson’s life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Ministries, 4512 48th Ave, Hudsonville, with Rev. Rich Verkaik officiating. The burial will take place at Jamestown Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, December 30, from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
