Nellie Verhey

VERHEY – Mrs. Nellie Verhey, aged 95 of Kentwood went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 18, 2015. She was preceded in death by her sister, Johanna Hoogendam; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Pete (Metje) Verhey and Ben Verhey. She is survived by her husband, Martin Verhey Sr. of Kentwood, children, Agnes (Hank) Van Beek of Caledonia, Gerrit (Diana) Verhey of Borculo, Martin Jr. (Hennie) Verhey of Kentwood, Maria (Derk) Van Dijk of Kentwood, Johanna (Roger) Ritsema of Sparta; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchlld; and sister-in-law, Joan Verhey of Iowa. Funeral services for Nellie will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm at the American Reformed Church, 3179 – 68^th St. SE, Dutton. Interment in Rest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE Tuesday from 7-9 pm. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to The American Reformed Church.
