Nancy Sue Dekkinga

Nancy Sue Dekkinga, age 74, of Byron Center, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, after a long battle with an autoimmune disease. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Clara DeVries; brother, Roger DeVries; and sister-in-law, Murial Dekkinga. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Bill; children, Tammy and Jay Lewis, Todd and Pouneh Dekkinga; four grandchildren, Josh and Lindsey Nostrant, Natalie and Alex VanOverloop, Chanel Baker, and Tara Dekkinga; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Jackie Hartert, Janice Padget, Linda Tucker; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marvin Dekkinga, Grace and Al Apotheker, Helen DeVries, Mary Dekkinga, Ena Dekkinga; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Ivanrest Church, 3777 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville, with Pastor Brandon Haan officiating. Burial Kent Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
