Nancy L. Dowden

Nancy L. Dowden, age 87, of Walker, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior      on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Nancy was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a servant's heart who blessed many with her kind acts. Nancy served her husband well for many years as a Pastor's wife, always supporting him at the churches they served. She provided for her family with her creative and resourceful ways in the home. Her legacy of faith and care for her family will be forever remembered.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Rae Olson. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, John “Jack” Dowden; children, Mark and Abbie Dowden, LuAnne and Edwin England, Todd and Karen Dowden, Kurt and Patricia Dowden, Troy and Alicia Dowden; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mel and Sue Brekke; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1:30 pm Sunday, January 19, 2025  at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, with Pastor Tim Anderson  officiating.  Burial will be held at Algoma Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 12-1:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Bibles International.
