Nancy Huizenga

On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Nancy Loraine Huizenga, age 74, of Holland, began her long awaited meeting with her Jesus. With her new body, she is now dancing before His throne of grace, praising His faithfulness today and forevermore. Nancy loved spending time with her family and friends camping and playing cards. She was a great Scrabble player, always up for a good game. Nancy also felt led to serve her Savior, by caring for others, both young and old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Bernie Ras; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane, Crystal, and Greg Huizenga. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Leslie Huizenga Sr.; children, Michelle Huizenga, Elizabeth Huizenga (Kevin Smith), Charity and Ray Chavis, Leslie Huizenga Jr., David and Rose Huizenga, Anthony and Tami Tran; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Patti Goel, Bob and Julie Ras, Ron and Pearl Ras, Al Ras, Tim and Beda Ras, Marge and Allan Fettig; brother-in-law, Ken and Vicky Huizenga; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Steven DeVries officiating. The burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday, October 2, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
