Nancy Holtvluwer

Nancy Jean (Koopman) Holtvluwer, age 69, of Hudsonville, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, February 11, 2019, after a 20 year journey with Multiple Sclerosis. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Mary Holtvluwer; and her brother-in-law, Jose Pantoja. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who cherished her family. Her zest for life and contagious smile was evident to all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Curt Holtvluwer; children, Betsy and Jack Vander Ploeg, Bryan and Theresa Holtvluwer; three grandchildren, Connor, and Grady Vander Ploeg, Avery Holtvluwer; sister, Jane Pantoja; brothers, Ed and Deb Masselink, Tom and Sue Masselink, Bill Masselink; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Rachel Holtvluwer, Doug and Milly Holtvluwer; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, 1571 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Len Kuyvenhoven and Rev. Cindy Holtrop officiating. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and also from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Emmanuel Hospice, Nancy’s cousin, Norma Nied, and Shirley Block for all the love and compassionate care given to Nancy.  Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
