Milton Ubbink

Milton Richard Ubbink, age 94, of Grandville went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Betty Joan; great-grandson, Harrison; sister, Esther Ballast; brother, Elmer Ubbink; and niece, Barbara Ballast. Milton will be lovingly remembered by his children, Carol and Bill Van Wyk, Dirk and Melanie Ubbink, Beth and Tim Morgan; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Milton graduated from Calvin College, Baptist Bible Seminary, and earned his master’s degree from Western Michigan University. Milton was a principal and teacher for Wyoming Public Schools for 35 years. Milton had a life-long quest for knowledge; always wanting to learn. He enjoyed many hobbies including trains, woodworking, and collecting. He loved the Lord deeply and he was active at his church and as a volunteer for Bibles International and Our Daily Bread. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Terry Burlingame officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:45 am at the funeral home prior to the service.
