Michael Scott Rahn

Michael Scott Rahn, age 84, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, surrounded by his family.  He graduated from Benton Harbor High School and took over working and later owning the family business called Rahn’s Shoes in Benton Harbor, passed down from his great great grandfather.  He grew up on a lake and enjoyed boating, skiing and sailing for many years.  He also liked to go for drives to the West Michigan Lakeshore.  

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marilyn Whitney; children: Bruce (Carolyn) Rahn, Brian (Kathy) Rahn, Chris (Christine) Rahn, Courtney (Rémi) LeMarchand, Chelsea (Josh) Pollyea; 12 grandchildren: Brianna, Anna, Mary, Kate, Cassidy, Colin, Simon, Ethan, William, Boden, Brooke, and Betsy; sister, Ann Schultz; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Rahn.  

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2025,  at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan.
