
Michael Jon Fasel, age 66, of Belmont, passed away while golfing and was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Mike was devoted to God, family, and friends. He found strength and purpose through his faith in Jesus that inspired his commitment to family and generosity to others. He successfully built and operated his business Straight Edge Construction, for 34 years, during which time he established many relationships. Mike enjoyed being outdoors: hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
Mike married the love of his life in 1982. Over the 42 years of marriage they enjoyed music, sports, and watching westerns. With their children, family and friends they went camping and traveling; often playing cards and sharing laughs. His humor, quick wit, and storytelling will be remembered by all who knew him.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia (Ginny), brother, Jon; brother-in-law, Denny Couturier; mother and father-in-law, Rosemary and Fred Braun. He will be deeply missed by his wife Laura; children Adam (Lesley) Fasel, Tobin (Taresa) Fasel, Dillon Fasel, Cameron Fasel, Shane (Nicole) Fasel; and grandchildren; father, Al Fasel; sister, Ann Couturier; brothers Steve (Mary) Fasel, Paul Fasel, Scott (Cari) Fasel; sister-in-law Rita Fasel; loving nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 24th, from 4-8 pm at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. Rosary will begin at 7:30 pm. Funeral mass will take place on Thursday, July 25th. Instate will be at 10 am with Mass of Christian burial held at 11 am at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 6393 Belmont Ave NE, Belmont with Rev. Father Chuck Schwartz presiding.
