Michael Forrest Richer

Michael Forrest Richer, age 86, of Wyoming, was called to the loving arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Marie; his children, Patrick (Deborah) Richer, Jacquelyn Richer, Joanne (Kenneth) Zeigler, Dianne Kleibusch; grandchildren, Gail (Jeff) Fish, Sarah (Mike) Keena, Jeffrey (Sierra) Richer, Kimberly (Josh) Ferris, Eric (Taylor) Zeigler; nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mike was a warm, caring, loving husband, father and grandfather. He began his tool & die career at Jarecki Tool and Die and maintained the friendships (The Jarecki Gang) he developed over the years. He spent 25 years as a faithful GM Diesel/Delphi employee. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and bowling. He had a servant’s heart and volunteered at John Knox Presbyterian food pantry and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He and Marie enjoyed traveling to Orange Beach, AL during the cold weather months. Mike was a lover of ice cream and even right up to the last had to have one or two servings per evening. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling people, “Wherever you go, there you are.” or “I haven’t the foggiest.” The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming with Rev. John Vallier officiating. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 4 - 7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming and one hour prior to mass.
