Michael DeGrave

Michael Steven DeGrave, age 66, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2023, surrounded by his family. He grew up in Upper Michigan and graduated from Rapid River High School. His heart was in the U.P where he enjoyed traveling to visit the family camp, go hunting and spend time outdoors. Mike was a ready-mix truck driver for Consumers Concrete for over 40 years. He was always working with his hands and was an excellent carpenter. Mike will be remembered for his sense of humor, stubbornness and always being with a coffee in hand. Above all, he cherished spending time with his kids. He will be greatly missed for his humble heart, goofy personality, and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert “Red” and Doris DeGrave; brother, Tex (Geri) DeGraves; brothers-in-law, Walter Thompson and Craig Olson. He will be lovingly remembered by children, Parker DeGrave, Liza DeGrave, Braden DeGrave; siblings: Janet Thompson, Gary (Pat) DeGrave, Debbie Olson, Rick (Patty) DeGrave, Blaine (Char) DeGrave, Dan (Holly) DeGrave; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:30 am at Chapel Pointe, 3350 Baldwin St., Hudsonville with a time of fellowship to follow.
