Michael Charles Lasko

Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer

To bring back a smile, to banish a tear

Not what was his church, nor was his creed

But had he befriended those really in need

Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say

But how many were sorry when he passed away.”

Michael Lasko, age 76, of Sparta, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mae Belle Lasko; brother, Dennis and Karen Lasko; mother-in-law, Marie Lint; siblings-in-law, Lonnie Lint, Larry Mutchler; nieces, Kim Lint, and Katie Lasko. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 54 years Dawn Lasko; daughter, Tracey (Brian) Malone and Jessica (John) Purucker; sisters, Donna (Doug McBride) Mourer and Debra Mutchler; sister-in-law, Naomi Lint; special nephews and nieces, Travis (Brooke) Lint, Kandy Schreiner, Melissa (Eric) Allen, Brandon Lint, Brian (Katie) Lint, Steven (Brenda) Lint, Angela (Rachel) Silverman, Brandee Mourer, Holly (Jake) Mutchler-Cooper, Kristy (John) Whalen. 

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at MKD Funeral Home, 1601 Post Dr NE, Belmont. Burial will be held at Winn Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at MKD Funeral Home, 1601 Post Dr NE, Belmont and an hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10-11am. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
