
Merle Almo Lezman, age 91, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 31, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jenny Lezman; parents, John and Anna Lezman; brothers, Bobby Lezman, Buddy Lezman, Harris Lezman, and Doyle Lezman. He will be dearly missed by his children, Joan and Josef Korzilius, Jeff and Katarzyna Lezman, Jack and Jennifer Lezman; grandchildren, Jessica, Josef, Jaclyn and Kim, Luke, Josie, and Jaxon; great-grandchildren, Quintin, Alyx, Brayden, and Arlo; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Merle retired from Keeler Brass as a Tool and Die Maker after 44 years of faithful service. In his retirement, Merle enjoyed watching sports, especially Michigan State and the Detroit Tigers, and staying up to date with current events through reading or watching on TV all while munching on jelly beans or listening to country music. Years ago, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and reading the newspaper from cover to cover and in recent years, he read many non-fiction books and observed wildlife. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 19, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 19, from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Meals on Wheels Western Michigan.
