Maxwell F. Cole

Maxwell F. Cole, age 87, of Jenison, passed away peacefully to his eternal rest on Monday, February 1, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Ruby Cole; brothers, Verne, Harvey, and Dale; sisters, Jean, Marilyn, Dorothy, and Nina. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Delores “Dee”; children, Cheryl Bates, Elizabeth “Beth” and Ken Byrne, Gary Cole; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers, Russ and Sally Cole, Jack and Arlene Cole; and many nieces and nephews. Max proudly served our country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.  He also worked for Lear Siegler - Smiths for 31 years. Relatives and friends may meet the family during a memorial visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW.  The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Emmanuel Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Max.
