Maxine Nederhood

Maxine Jeanette Nederhood, age 96, of Jenison, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Maxine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed volunteering at Revive, her summers traveling around the country, and loved spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert Nederhood; and son-in-law, Douglas Mast. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sandy and Jerry Herrema, Kathy Mast, Doug and Laurie Nederhood, Pam and Don Koetje; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Gert. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Cottonwood, 1101 Cypress Drive, Jenison, with Pastor Matthew Palsrok officiating. The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Georgetown and Cambridge Manors and the staff who provided excellent care to Maxine.
