Maureen “Mo” Patrick, born August 27, 1937, embarked on her next journey on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She is survived by her children, Rhonda Lomonaco, Rodney Keith, Robin Wirick, Canda Lomonaco, Lynn Stombaugh, Kevin Patrick, Roxanne Eady, Scott Patrick, Ramona Gerke, and their spouses. In addition to the many foster children she welcomed with open arms and all of her “kids” at Vista Springs Assisted Living. She is also survived by her sister, Jessie Kleyn. She was blessed with thirty-eight grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren (plus two yet to arrive) and two great-great-grandchildren. ALL BECAUSE OF A MOTHER’S LOVE! She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son, Don; grandson, Jaccob; great-granddaughter, Lizzie; and the love of her life, Terence “Red” Brooks. Over the course of Maureen’s life, she had many careers: bookkeeper, waitress, nurse, seamstress, and truck driver to name a few. But no matter what she was doing, she was still always worried about caring for those around her. Maureen’s heart was larger than life – she met you, she loved you, you were family! Children gave her joy – the more chaos – the more joy! Thank you to the amazing care team from ProMedica Hospice and her special doctor, Dr. Jeff, who journeyed with her for many years - she loved him as a son! Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
