Mary Katsma

Mary Lou Katsma, age 88, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 5, 2021. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Victor Katsma. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Deb and John Flietstra Jr., Ruth and Craig Groendyk; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Betsy Groendyk, John III and Kristi Flietstra (John IV “Jack”), Michael and Rebecca Groendyk, Benjamin Flietstra and Beth Peck (Henry, Ruby, and Victor), Jill and Jami Baker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Eleanor Landstra, Larry and Karen Landstra; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Russell Katsma, Robert and Sandy Katsma; and many nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Harry Koops officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, February 8, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
