Mary Ellen Llamos

Mary Ellen Llamos, aged 64 of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, at her home after a long struggle with cancer. She was born to the late Jessusa and Philemon Florez in the city of Muskegon, MI and was the fifth of nine children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessusa and Philemon Florez; siblings: Joe Florez, Gloria Garza, Linda Garcia, Diane Florez; and nephew, Thomas George Florez. She is survived by her husband, Jesus M. Perez; her children and grandchildren: Andrea and Adrian (Adrianne and Andre) Brown, Anastasia and Demond (Keefan, Kelsey, Kristopher) Brown, Jose and Jodie (Sabrina, Omar, Niana) Llamos; two great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings: Elaine Ramos, Ramona Hernandez, June Florez, and Rebecca Vega; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mary will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW with Rev. Don VanSlyke officiating. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
