Mary Elizabeth Strobridge was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She passed away comfortably in her home with her husband Jack by her side on November 29, 2022. She was known as Mary, Beth, or Marybeth to her many friends and relatives and lived a long, happy life spending time at Grand Haven State Park with her young family and later at her cabin in Fife Lake, Michigan and winter home in Bradenton, Florida. Mary enjoyed traveling with Jack; they were members of a travel trailer club spending many weekends camping in their younger years. She was dedicated to her family, providing loving guidance to her three sons; John, Dan, and Jim. As a youngster, Mary (Hood) was raised in Boyne City by her Grandmother Baker and later moved to Grand Rapids at age 9 to live with her Aunt Kate Baker. She attended South High School in Grand Rapids, graduating in 1945 and later married Roger John (Jack) Strobridge in 1949. Mary was a life-long member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Mary and Jack bought a house on Clyde Park Ave. in Wyoming, Michigan in 1951 and continued to live there until the present. Mary is survived by her husband, Jack; sons, John (Lee Ann), Dan (Lorraine), Jim (Julie); grandchildren, Beth, Lindsay, Peter, Brian, Michael, Kelsey; great grandchildren, Mark, Lauren, Ben, Bentley, Aisley. Mary will be sorely missed but will continue to live on in the hearts she touched forever.
