Marvin Moll

June 5, 1950 ~
July 3, 2022

Marvin Jay Moll, age 72 of Grandville, MI, went home to the arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was a beloved father, an exceptionally proud and supportive grandpa, a loving brother, a loyal friend, a dedicated teammate, and a devoted follower of Jesus. He loved deeply, and to be loved by him was a gift to all who knew him. He was a gentleman and remained stalwart to the end, and now his faith has been made sight. Marv is preceded in death by his father, Martin; mother, Lela; and son, Matthew. He leaves behind his daughter, Kimberly (Matthew); sons, Chad (Kristin), and Joshua (Amy); and dear friend, Betty; along with siblings, Mary Ann (Ronald), Alice, Linda (Charles), and Michael (Patricia). He was his grandchildren’s biggest fan, showering them with encouragement, hugs, and always a lap to climb. Grandpa Marvy will be missed greatly by grandchildren: Everett, Oliver, Abby, Tommy, Brenna, Carter, June, Madison, and Ransom. The loss of such a beloved patriarch is sudden and difficult, but we rejoice that he is home at last. That man is a success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and women and the love of children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who leaves the world better than he found it, who has never lacked appreciation of Earth’s beauty or failed to express it; who looked for the best in others, and gave the best he had. —Robert Louis Stevenson A celebration of Marv’s life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home on 4145 Chicago Dr. SW in Grandville, MI. Pastor Lanny Sherman will officiate. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
