Marlene Vork

Marlene Ann (Bronsink) Vork, age 72, of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 14, 2025. She was born to the late Gerald and Kathryn Bronsink and grew up in Byron Center, Michigan. Marlene was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She faithfully worked at the Laurels of Hudsonville for the past 33 years. Over the years, Marlene especially enjoyed reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Bronsink. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Duane Vork; children, Nicole and Joseph Purcell, Harold and Svetlana Vork, Gerald and Lindsey Vork, Daniel and Denise Vork; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Leonard and Linda Bronsink, Jim and Char Bronsink, Gloria Miles, Roger and Sandi Bronsink, Dale and Donna Bronsink, Sharon and Ken Smith, Mary Miller; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Greta Bronsink, Diane and Gary Van Rhee, Darla Vork; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin Street, Jenison, with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, September 17, from 5-8 p.m. at MKD Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
