Marlene Kay Pearce

Marlene Kay Pearce, age 78 of Wyoming, went to her heavenly home, on Monday, July 3, 2017. Marlene was born in Danville, IL to Lowell and Vonnie Foreman who preceded her in death, as well as her husband of 46 years, Grant Earl Pearce. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Kim (Jim) Zawacki; grandsons, Jeffrey (Chelsea) Zawacki, Matthew Zawacki; great-grandson, Marcus Grant Zawacki; cousins, other family members and friends. Marlene retired from Travelers Insurance, where she had spent her whole working career. She studied and obtained her ham radio license alongside her husband, Grant. She and Grant enjoyed traveling all over the world; but she especially enjoyed the summers at the cottage and winters in San Benito, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will meet relatives and friends 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to ALS in memory of Grant.
