
Having joined the company of just men made perfect, Mark Homer Hoeksema now sleeps with his fathers in the hope of the resurrection. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Gertrude Hoeksema; father-in-law, Gerrit Bol; and brother-in-law, David Bol. Mark is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruthellen (Bol); children, Stephen (Debra) Hoeksema, Michael (Marcia) Hoeksema, Sarah (Jerry) Bleyenberg, and Philip Hoeksema; grandchildren, Jordan Hoeksema, Mitchell Hoeksema, Rebecca Hoeksema, and Nora Swartwood; sisters, Eunice (Ken) Kuiper, Lois (Carey) Kamps, Candace (Charles) Brown; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Fred) Winkle, Priscilla (Patrick) MacGraw; brother-in-law, Jonathan (Barbara) Bol; and mother-in-law, Eleanore Bol. A service to glorify God for the faith and life of Mark will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Protestant Reformed Church, 3385 Van Buren St., Hudsonville. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday, January 14, from 6-9 p.m. at the church and Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. A private family burial has been held at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Reformed Free Publishing Association.
